Description
Lilli Pell "Footlight Flirtation" Oil On Canvas Painting Copy. Signed lower right, "L. Pell ’94," and below, "E. Shinn ’12." A beautiful copy of the original work. Pell is a well known Texas artist with a studio in Wimberley, Texas where she paints in oil and teaches classes. Everett Shinn’s (1876-1953) original "Footlight Flirtation" was an oil on canvas painted in 1912, measuring 29.3" X 36.3" This painting measures 31" X 40". The frame is a copy of a heavy 19th Century style giltwood frame. Measures 41 1/2" X 51 1/2". The frame molding measures approx. 5 3/4" wide X 4 5/8" deep. Provenance: Waverly Mansion Circa 1852, West Point, Mississippi Collection, Charlie and Dana Stephenson. Condition- Painting is in good condition. Frame has some wear at lower edge. See photos.
