Weir Mitchell Illustrated by Harper Pennington published by R.H. Russell New York c. 1904. Gray cloth binding, paper boards with decoration and title in mylar cover. A sample of some of the recipes includes crab gumbo, crawfish bisque, Aunt Anne’s delicious cornbread, hopping John, Jambalaya a la Creole, kidney stew, molasses cake, New Orleans veal with oysters, New Orleans way to cook snipe, okra gumbo, okra hibiscus, oyster and peanut soup, porcupine pudding, praline cocoanut, stewed tongue, sweet potato pudding, terrapin stew, etc. 113 illustrated pages in English and French. Book measures 8 1/8" x 5 1/2" x 7/8"
