1 – Rare Hardcover 1st Edition Kentucky Receipt Book by Mary Harris Frazer self published, printed by The Bradley & Gilbert Co. Louisville, KY c. 1903. Red embossed cloth cover with gilt lettering and shamrock on cover in mylar cover. Over 2000 recipes, including Mint Julep. "Receipts are found herein which have been collected for generations, including Creole and French receipts known only to the wealthy planter families of the far South." 365 pages, in English. Book measures 9 1/4" x 6 1/2" x 1"
Condition: Condition – Near Fine – Binding is a bit loose. Cover has some very light stains. Corners are bumped and worn. Spine head and tail bumped and lightly worn. Gilt lettering on cover very strong. Jan Longone Bookshop sticker inside front cover. Light toning throughout. Stains to back end papers. Please see photos.
