George Washington Martin (1839 – 1913) laid off the town of Martin, Tennessee in May, 1873. Sterling Silver flatware engraved Martin and monogrammed with a "M" descended from the Col. G.W. Martin family, founders of Martin, Tennessee. (12) 5 1/4" small embossed forks. Unknown pattern. Forks are monogrammed with a "M." Weigh 5.92 ozt. (1) 9 5/8" Mermod, Jaccard, & King Co. large spade style server. Unknown pattern. Monogrammed with a "M." Weighs 2.99 ozt. (1) 7 1/2" ladle. Unknown pattern and maker. Weighs 1.89 ozt.
