Description
Hand Carved 14 Piece Black Forest Style Oak Renaissance Dining Room Suite, Circa 1875. This wonderful hand carved suite was commissioned by William G (Bill) Coyle founder of Coyle Shipping Lines, New Orleans, Louisiana. Mr. Coyle founded the company just after the Civil War. The family provenance for this suite was that Mr. Coyle commissioned this suite from the same workshops that manufactured furniture for Prudent Mallard and the suite was most likely manufactured by skilled craftsmen in the Black Forest region of Germany or bordering region of France. The suite descended through the family from William Coyle to Janice (Jan) Grady of Corinth, Mississippi.
