Description
Mounted Drinking Horn with Lid and Shot Glasses, 1906. This horn has inscriptions dated 1906 and is most likely a German presentation piece. The horn has lid with standing lion and is supported by a putti with raised glass. The natural horn has a spigot and mounts with hooks for hanging glasses. Measures 19" high X 12 1/2" wide (at widest point). Glasses are 2" high X 1 5/16" dia. Provenance: George Johnson, Jackson, Tennessee. Condition- Horn is in good condition. Interior metal is silver plated, exterior metal has lost plate and several pieces are painted with a silver paint. One glass is broken and one glass is missing. See photos.
