Description
1866 Paint Decorated Immigrant Trunk. Large dome top trunk with pierced decorative metal straps and strap hinges. Dated, "1866," and marked with owner’s initials, "A.E.A." Trunk has the original lock and handmade bell handles on each end. Provenance: Waverly Mansion Circa 1852, West Point, Mississippi Collection, Charlie and Dana Stephenson. Measures 32 3/8" high X 61 1/2" wide X 28 1/4" deep. Condition- Overall good condition. Trunk has considerable paint loss to lid, some separation of wood, and overall paint losses. See photos.
