1 – Hardcover Number 244 of 250 copies printed Limited Editon of The Brescia Dante published in honor of the Centennial of Brigham Young University c. 1975. "With a leaf from the Illustrated Edition of 1487 printed by Boninus de Boninis and two essays: Dante Alighieri, Universal Poet by Philip J. Spartano and Boninus de Boninis in the History of Printing by Chad J. Flake". Printed and edited at the Brigham Young University Press. Typeset at The Typesetters, Salt Lake City, Utah. 5 leaves, 59 pages. Illustrated with 8 reproductions from the Brescia Dante and other early texts, original leaf from the 1487 Brescia Dante tipped in. Nicely produced leaf book with text and ornaments printed in black and red on rag paper. Leaf is from "Canto Primo" of Purgatorio. (Folio) 15" x11", red and white cloth.
Condition: Condition – Near Fine – Front cover has light soiling and stain. Back cover soiled.
