Spine has gilt decoration and red leather title label with gilt lettering. In the context of 19th and early 20th-century sexology, "sexual inversion" was a term used to describe homosexuality, particularly in the context of gender role nonconformity. It implied that individuals attracted to the same sex had an inborn reversal of gender traits, with men exhibiting feminine characteristics and women exhibiting masculine ones. 327 pages in French.
