1 Hardcover The Works of Aristotle Including his Masterpiece, and Important Advice to Females Privately Printed (likely L. Rene London) c. 1883 in red cloth cover (see condition). First published in 1684, "Aristotle’s Masterpiece" was a popular medical manual on pregnancy and childbirth that also covered topics like the use and actions of genitals, monstrous births, and home remedies. It represents the pseudo-scientific beliefs and folklore of the time, not the philosophical teachings of the ancient Greek Aristotle. 142 pages in English, illustrated. Book measures 7 7/6" x 4 1/2" x 3/4"
