Ewing c. 1892; The Complete Bread, Cake and Cracker Baker 6th Edition by J. Thompson Gill c. 1896; What One Can do With A Chafing Dish by H.L. Sawtelle c. 1891; The Spirit of Cookery by L.J.W. Thudichum c. 1895; and The Practice of Cookery (Williamson’s Cookery) and Pastry by D. Williamson c. 1882. Combined lot measures approximately 9"x6"x6".
Condition: Williamson’s Cookery – The Practice of Cookery and Pastry – very good condition – green cover with gold gilt lettering and embossed Greek key boarder, cover has some spotting and light wear. Corners are bumped and have some wear. Spine has light wear on ends. Rhujbarb cream recipe pasted in inside cover, some foxing to pages; The Spirit of Cookery – green cover with gold gilt lettering. Cover shows some wear. Corners bumped and worn to board. Spine worn and separating in places. Ink markings and former owner ex-libris on inside cover. Inside cover page torn; What One Can Do With A Chafing Dish – very good condition – graphics on front and back cover strong, spotting, soiling and wear to cover especially around edges and corners. Spine has wear on ends. The Complete Bread, Cask and Cracker Baker – Good condition – cover lightly soiled and worn. Corners bumped and worn. Spine faded. Jan Longone sticker inside front cover. Front and back cover split; Hot Weather Dishes – very good condition – cover has some slight soiling and wear, corners bumped with light wear, spine has light wear, ink markings inside cover. Cookery Manuals – very good condition – in mylar cover. Very light wear to corners and edge, small area of loss on upper spine, Jan Longone sticker and former owner name inside cover.
