Description
Major Joseph Reck Haugh 5th Indiana Cavalry Sword. Marked, “W. Walscheid Solingen.” Hand guard is engraved, “From S. A. Fletcher To J. R. Haugh.” Engraved blade with scrolls, flags, etc. Comes with copies of his military career. Blade: 34 1/4″ long. Overall: 39 1/2″. Comes with a reproduction scabbard. Condition- Ray skin grip and braided wire wrap are not original. Scabbard is not original and most likely a reproduction. Blade has remnants of old cleaned rust and grip has an old polished surface.
