E. Ellsworth (killed May 24, 1861 in Alexandria Virginia); Admiral Andrew Hull Foote; (2) General George B. McClellan; Union General Joseph Hooker known for his defeat at the Battle of Chancellorsville, 1863 by Robert E. Lee; Union General-in-Chief Henry Halleck; Secretary of State William H. Seward, served during the Civil War and negotiated the purchase of the Alaska Territory; Union Major General Andrew Jackson Smith; Captain Chase Philbrick of Company H, 15th Massachusetts, known for giving the Union bad intel at Ball’s Bluff resulting in significant losses; Confederate General Stonewall Jackson; Unidentified Confederate soldier; Several Civil War nurses; Confederate Lieutenant General Simon B.
