Collection of (9) Sportsman Black & White Photos, Late 19th or Early 20th Century. (1) Skunk River, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. Shows men fishing along the river bank and a group in a canoe with man aiming firearm. Dated in lower left, “1890.” Measures 3 3/4″ X 4 3/4″. Photograph is affixed to hard paper stock. (1) Campsite south of Mount Pleasant, Iowa. Dated 1890 in lower right, 4″ X 5 1/2″. (1) 3 1/2″ X 5″ photograph of man with shotgun. (1) Gentleman in suit and hat holding a hunting dog’s paw, 3 1/2″ X 5 1/2″. (1) Two boys or young men with shotguns and rabbits, 4 1/4″ X 6 1/4″. (1) Group of hunters with firearms and animal (possibly a rabbit, 3 3/8″ X 4 1/2″. Affixed to hard stock paper. (1) Man in winter conditions pointing double barrel shotgun, 4″ X 5″. (1) Group of fisherman with rods and fish. Marked on verso, “Bob, Ben, + Sam, Sept. 1938. Measures 5 7/8″ X 9 5/8″. Photograph is in a folding mount. (2) Men standing by fallen trees with dog and firearm. Measures 5 1/4″ X 8 1/2”. Condition- Various. Some pictures exhibit signs of being mounted to a black hard stock paper at some point.
