Civil War Solider Tintype & Boot Pistol. (1) Tintype photograph of Sergeant Lemuel Moore in uniform with pistol. Former owner and longtime collector, Jeff Tull, identified this photograph as, “Sergeant Lemuel Moore Walkers Battalion, Thomas Legion North Carolina.” Visible image: 1 1/2″ X 2″. Case: 2 3/8″ X 2 7/8″. (1) Allen & Thurber double action bar hammer black powder boot pistol. Pistol is marked, “1837; Allen Patent; Cast Steel,” and numbered 177. Barrel: 2 7/8″ long. Pistol is similar or may be the one featured in the photograph. Case: 12″ X 18″ X 2″ high. Pistol is an antique black powder firearm and will not require a background check. Condition- Photograph is in the original case, missing cover. Photo has some discoloration, mostly at lower left edge. Boot pistol appears to be in overall good condition for age. Metal has a dark patina. See photos.
