Description
1862 Ames Model 1840 Enlisted Cavalry Saber. Marked, “Ames MFG CO. Chicopee, MASS; U. S. ADK 1862.” Brass hilt with leather grip with brass wire wrap. Blade: 34″ long. Overall 39 1/2″ long. Condition- Some old cleaned residue from surface rust on blade. Hand guard has old polish. Grip is in overall good condition with some wear. See photos.
