Robert William Wood (March 4, 1889 – March 14, 1979) Oil on Canvas "Quiet Mountain Stream" Original 1930’s Landscape Painting. The painting is titled on verso of stretcher in pencil and labeled; Turner Art Gallery Inc., 531 – 17th Street, Denver, Colo. Wood was an American landscape painter. Robert was active in the art colonies of San Antonio, Texas in the 1930’s, Monterey, California in the 1940’s and Laguna Beach, Ca. in the 1950’s.This is a beautifully executed mountain stream painting in the original gold leaf frame. The painting is signed "Robt. Wood" lower left. The painting measures 25 1/4" X 30" and frame measures 30 5/8" X 30 3/4". Condition – Painting is in very good original condition. No damage or repairs. A professional cleaning would probably brighten this painting. The frame is in good condition, no damage or repairs.
