Description
1920’s Oil On Canvas Portrait Louise Barnes Corinth, Mississippi. This painting was most likely by a local unknown north Mississippi painter. An elegant painting of Mrs. Barnes in her library in a beautiful yellow dress with bow. Visible image measures approx. 29 1/2" X 34 1/2". Gold leaf frame measures approx. 37 1/4" X 42". Provenance: William and Debbie Tallent, Corinth, Mississippi. Condition- Mrs. Barnes’s face and other parts of the painting have heavy craquelure. Frame is in good condition with some wear and discoloration. See photos.
