Tennessee Cherry Sugar Chest Circa1840. Dovetail case with divider and lid with cleated ends. Turned front legs and tapered back legs. Descended from the Wright family of Dickson, Tennessee City and Davidson County. Measures 34 3/4" High X 28 3/4" Wide X 18 1/2" Deep. Condition – Very good condition with an older refinish. Hinges have never been moved or repaired. The divider is original. Lid has some shrinkage cracks. Small amount of insect damage lower left in back in bottom. All wood in this chest looks to be original and repair free.
