Description
Smyth Holly Springs, MS Stoneware Churn and Jar. (1) Two gallon P.J. Smyth, Holly Springs, Mississippi tan glazed churn or crock 11 5/8" High X 8 1/8" dia. This piece has an impressed mark, "P. J. Smyth Holly Springs, Miss, " and the number 2. (1) Brown glaze storage jar with impressed mark, "S. Smyth Holly Springs, Miss." Measures 9" high X 4 7/8" dia. Provenance: Harold Boone estate Tupelo, Mississippi. Condition- Jar is in very fine condition with either a manufacturing imperfection or very small chip at mouth. Churn is in good condition with one inner rim chip and lid has one chip on edge. The lid is not original. See photos.
