Description
Copeland Spode China, Chelsea Bird 8 3/4" Dessert Plates, Set of 10. A beautiful hand painted set from the Jan Grady of Corinth, Mississippi living estate. Mrs Grady grew up in Laurel, Mississippi was given the plates as a present by Alexander and Elizabeth Chisholm. The Chisholms were wealthy friends and supporters of Opera soprano Leontyne Price. During WWII Leontyne worked as a part-time maid for the Chisholms. Condition – Good condition, no chips, cracks.
