Description
Two Blue Band Churns, Five & Six Gallons. (1) Young’s Stoneware Tremont, Miss. six gallon churn with blue band and maker’s stencil. (1) Five gallon blue band churn with kiln defect. Most likely Summerford or Suggs. Handle terminates in the three-finger-swipe-down. Provenance: Harold Boone Estate, Tupelo, Mississippi. Condition- The five gallon has the kiln defect protruding from one side, three hairline cracks at mouth and one hairline crack at base. The six gallon churn appears to have been shot years ago and has two repairs with bolts. Two hairline cracks at base. The lid on the six gallon churn is not original. See photos.
