Copper Base Relief Portrait of Mathew Saplin(?). Back of frame is labeled with a brass tag, "By. N. B. Rappleye, Chicago." Matthew Saplin’s (?) signature is on brass tag below portrait. Visible image measures 21" X 26 3/4". Quarter sawn oak frame measures 29" X 34 3/4". Provenance: Harold Boone estate Tupelo, Mississippi. Condition- The portrait has some oxidation, discoloration but is in overall good condition. Frame is weathered. See photos.
