Description
Edison Gem Cylinder Player Type Circa 1900. Metal plate reads, "Licensed by the Edison Bell Consolidated Phonograph Co Ltd Not To Be Used In Connection With An Automatic Or Slot Device Type 1 ‘Gem.’" Key wind player. Comes with a Thomas Edison "I’ll Sit Right On the Moon" cylinder. The horn is metal and brass. Cast steel on an oak base in the original varnish. Measures overall 18 3/4" X 10" wide X 7 1/2" deep (at base). Provenance the remaining inventory of Antique Archaeology, closed Nashville, Tennessee location.
Condition: Condition- Overall good condition. Needs adjustment or repair. Did not play at inventory. Metal has some losses and minor rust. See photos.
