Description
Extremely Rare 1954 Monte Irvin New York Giants Coca Cola Cardboard Sign. This sign features Monte Irvin wearing his New York Giants uniform and cap drinking a Coke with a Coca Cola button on his shoulder and baseball diamond in the background. Marked – Copyright 1954 The Coca Cola Company Litho. An unusual sign that could be displayed as a standup sign when inserted into a Coke carton, with the carton tabs cut away displayed as an easel back or a hanging sign. This sign is one of three known, of the three this is the best example. The best example sold had the bottom carton standup tabs removed. One of the known examples was in the Barry Halper collection. 11 3/4" Wide X 20 3/8" High.
Condition: Condition – Front is in good condition. This sign was never displayed, easel back has never been opened. Some discoloration to verso and a small chip missing from the verso side behind the Coke button approximately 1" X 1/4"
