Description
Curved Glass Revolving "Crystal Showcase" Circa 1900. Beautiful and very scarce oak cabinet with decorated pierced cast iron and brass gallery, a sliding curved glass door, and two adjustable shelves. Showcase sits on a cast iron base and has an oak bentwood turning rail to revolve interior display shelves. Labeled on nickel plated tag, "The Crystal Case Co. Alliance, O. U.S.A. Pat. May 14, ’89, Jan. 5, 97, Jan. 23, 1900." Measures approximately 33" diameter X 75" high. The case itself measures 40 1/4" high (with wooden rail). Display area measures approximately 29 1/2" high X 25 1/4" dia. ***THIS LOT IS NOT BEING SOLD FOR ANTIQUE ARCHEOLOGY***
Condition: Condition- All glass is in good condition. Gallery has old braze repair and is missing a piece of the decorative gallery measuring approximately 1 3/4" X 4 3/4". Metal brackets and hardware are in good condition. Showcase has old finish with wear and minor imperfections.
