Description
Mid 20th Century Red Neon Sphinx Shriner’s Sign. The tag from Antique Archeology reads, "Shriners International Neon Sign; Seen on Season 1 Episode 3 (White Castle on the Farm) *Mike’s Personal Collection!* NFS." The sign is believed to have come from The Faust Hotel, Rockford, Illinois. Shriners bought the hotel in 1974 and it was renamed Tebala Towers. The sign was used on stage at the theater for Shrine ceremonies. This piece has been a focal point of the Nashville Antique Archeology store for many years. It was hard to visit the store and not remember this sign. This piece was one of the highlight buys from their early shows. Measures 62 1/2" high X 51 3/8" wide X 11" deep. Provenance the remaining inventory of Antique Archaeology, closed Nashville, Tennessee location.
Condition: Condition- All of the neon works. The sign is in overall good condition. The sign has some minor bends, scratches, and dents. See photos.
