Description
1931 Ford Roadster Street Rod. The car is all Ford with a steel body, 302 Ford Mustang motor with a custom ground cam with a Pete Jackson gear drive. The motor has finned and polished valve covers, polished after market intake, chromed alternator, and chromed and polished stock exhaust manifolds. The trans is C-4 with a shift kit and fluid cooler. The rear end is a 9" Ford with 3:25 gears in it. The front end is a chromed Posie with four bar linkage front and back. The hood side panels are aluminum with custom punched louvers. All the wiring is hidden. Custom made dash with period correct SW gauges. The trunk is opened by pulling a knob located between the driver’s seat side and the floor. Louver on the underside of this car were punched by Gene Winfield Rod & Custom 7256 Eaton Avenue, Canoga Park, California, 91303. Paper work includes the original invoice dated 3-14-86. Punch louvers (108), Sp Price $75. Paid Gene. Scrapbook that comes with this car includes a photograph of the former owner with Henry Winkler. Includes a copy of an ad for the 45th Annual Fresno Autorama March 2004 that features this car in their advertisements. Also comes with a photograph of the car when it was black and purported to be one of the cars that sat in Fonzie’s garage in "Happy Days." Former owner stated this car was never driven on "Happy Days" but was one of the car’s that sat in Fonzie’s garage. Includes a front page newspaper story about the car from 2006. (2) Registrations for a vanity tag that read, "AFONZIE." Includes a hand written note where one of the former owners cite the history of the car including speaking to Gene Winfield. He had been told Winfield had built the car for Paramount Studios. Winfield stated he worked on the car but did not build it for Paramount Studios in 1966. Work was done by Tri-C Engineering, Gene Winfield, and Tom "Itchy" Otis. Condition: Condition- A beautiful car that presents very well. Mechanically the car is believed to be in good condition. Cranks and runs. Has some small paint chips, mostly at edge of door, edge of hood, and bottom/top edge of trunk. The top is in good condition. See photos.
