Description

Baird Jolly Tar Tobacco Advertising Clock, Circa 1895. Marked, "Seth Thomas Movement; Edw. P. Baird & Co., Plattsburgh, N. Y.; Jolly Tar Pastime Old Honesty Plank Road; Compliments of John Finzer & Bro’s; Tobacco Man’f’rs Louisville, KY; Boot Jack; Five Bros." Measures 30 1/2" high X 18 1/2" wide. Clock has Baird’s direction paper label in interior. Provenance the remaining inventory of Antique Archaeology, closed Nashville, Tennessee location.

Condition: Condition- Original alligator varnish, some losses to reverse paint on lower door, and glue repair to upper door. Sides have some paint smudges. Works have not been tested. Comes with key and pendulum. See photos.
