Rollin published by Blackie, Fullarton & Co. Glasgow c. 1826. Bound in half calf leather with marbled boards and marbled edges. Gilt lettering on spine. Vol. 1 624 pages, Vol. II 831 pages in English. Each volume measures approximately 8 1/2" x 5 1/4" x 2"; and The World of the Past Vol. I and II in slip case edited by Jacquetta Hawkes published by Alfred A. Knoph c. 1963 in original dust jackets. Illustrated, Vol. I 707 pages Vol. II 601 pages in English. Each volume measures approximately 6 1/2" x 9 5/8" x 1 1/2".
Condition: Condition – Early World History – Good – Covers are soiled and worn. Boards are warped. Corners bumped and worn. Gilt lettering strong on both volumes. Spines are worn. Soiling, toning to first and last few pages of both volumes. Title pages loose in Vol. II.; The World of the Past – Very Good – light soiling to covers. Contents clean and tight. Slip Case spit at bottom and has wear to edges. Slip case soiled on top. Dust jacket on red volume has some tears to spine. Please see photos.
