Title page and Jefferson Davis engraving loose. Hinge split. Some foxing and toning present; That Devil Forrest – Very Good – cloth cover soiled and stained. Edges and corners worn. Spine has wear to head and tail. Spine soiled. Lettering on spine worn. Toning to end sheet. Block missing page 299-342. States Rights Gist – very good – dust jacket soiled, top edged lightly soiled; Wanderings North and South – near fine – pencil markings on title page, rebound, ex-libris inside front cover; The Battle of Fort Donelson – dust jacket has light toning. Jacket has light wear to corners and edges, small tear top left front cover; light soiling to cloth cover. Ex-libris inside front cover. Text block clean and tight; Ohio at Shiloh – blue cloth cover has wear to corners and edges. Spine worn at joints, head and tail. Gilt decoration on spine faded. Back cover spotted. Map missing from inside front cover. Hinge split but intact. Water stain on bottom of text block. Red pencil markings throughout. Ink stamp in title page; Ups and Downs of a Confederate Soldier – light soiling to cover and top edge, text block clean and tight; The Long Surrender – spots on spine, soling to upper edge; The Boys Life of Robert E. Lee – wear to cover and spine, cover slightly bowed; Echos from Dixie – pages have been stuck together and pulled apart so some loss to text on inside pages; The Truth About Shiloh – corners lightly bumped, staining on spine and back cover.
