Lot includes 5 Hotel and Restaurant cookbooks including two copies of Delmonico’s a Century of Splendor by Lately Thomas published by Houghton Mifflin Company Boston c. 1967; The Practical Hotel Steward 3rd Edition by John Tellman published by The Hotel Monthly Chicago c. 1900; two copies of The Hotel St. Francis Cook Book by Victor Hirtzler published by The Hotel Monthly Press, Chicago c. 1919. Combined lot measures approximately 7"x10"x8".
Condition: Delmonico’s – A Century of Splendor (Copy 1) – Good Condition – Dust jacket worn, faded edges and spine, loss in areas, in mylar cover, red cloth cover with gold gilt letter on cover and spine, some minor soiling and wear to edges, bent spine. (Copy 2) – Good Condition – No dust jacket, slight wear to spine, edges and corners. Corners bumped; The Practical Hotel Steward – Good condition – Cover soiled and spotted, corner bumped and worn, edges and spine worn, inside cover page torn, spine split; The Hotel St. Francis Cookbook (Copy 1) – Good condition – green cloth cover with gold gilt lettering, slight wear to edges and spine edge, corners bumped and slightly worn, foxing and buckling to first few pages; (Copy 2) – cover soiled and spotted, corners bumped and worn to board, spine worn on edges, former owners name in ink inside front cover, foxing throughout.
