6 Natural History Book including One Four Volume Set – The American Museum of Natural History Presents The Illustrated Library of the Natural Sciences c. 1958 in slip cover, Gleanings in Natural History Second Series by Edward Jessee published by John Murray London c. 1834 in three-quarter green calf leather binding with marbled boards and edges with embossing, gilt decoration and lettering and raised bands on spine; and The Ants by Bert Holldobler and Edward O. Wilson published The Belknap Press of Harvard University Press Cambridge c. 1990 in original dust jacket. Combined lot measures approximately 12.5"x10.5"x9.5".
Condition: Condition – The Ants – Good – Dust jacket has some water staining at bottom spine and back and a little wear. Very light wear to front bottom corner. Stain to text block at head; Gleanings in Natural History – Very Good – wear to corners and edges. Wear to spine head, tail and joints. Front joint split about 1" at top and bottom but intact. 1868 ex-libris inside front cover. Stains to first few and last few pages in text block. Some foxing. Binding tight; Natural History Set – slip cover soiled. Spines soiled and some loss to head.
