Raised bands, gold tooling and lettering on spine. Marbled end sheets and block edges; Two Volume Set – Celebrities of the Century – Being A Dictionary of Men and Women of the Nineteenth Century edited by Lloyd C. Sanders published by Cassell and Company, Limited London c. 1887 in three quarter red calf leather binding. Raised bands, gilt decoration and lettering on spine. Combined lot measures approximately 12.5"x9.5"x4".
Condition: Condition – Eminent Victorians – Good – Stains to red cloth cover, spine slightly faded, slip cover soiled; Men of the Regin – Wear to front and back cover, stains and soiling. Spine spilt but intact. Discoloration to spine. Gilt decoration and lettering intact. Wear to spine, head and tail. Block edges faded, top edge soiled. Hinge split but intact. Contents clean.; Celebrities of the Century – covers are soiled and have hear to corners. Spine soiled/darkened with light wear. Wear to joints, head and tail. Block edges soiled.
