Description
U.S. Civil War Era Model 1840 NCO Sword. Stamped, “Made by Ames Mfg. Co. Chicopee, Mass; US C. S. L. 1864.” Guard is stamped JH.” Brass hilt with ribbed grip. Comes with a metal scabbard. Blade: 28″ long. Overall without scabbard: 34″ long. Overall with scabbard: 35″ long. Condition- Scabbard has some cleaned surface rust. Brass has old polished surface. Blade is in overall good condition. See photos.
