Description
Unknown Artist – WW1 Austrian Mountain Soldier Bronze Sculpture on Stone or Simulated Stone Base. The work is unsigned, soldier carries his gun, rope, pick axe, packs and ammunition. The figure is cast in a dark patinated bronze. The bronze is Circa first half 20th Century. The figure measures 12" High X 4 1/2" Wide at feet. The bronze is mounted on a 3" H. X 6" Long base. Condition – Bronze and base are in good condition. The sculpture was attached to the base with a plaster and has separated. The figure will actually ship better detached and can easily be remounted after shipping.
