Description
Ansonia #15 Standing Jewelers Regulator Clock with Walnut Case. This clock was misidentified by family as a "Gilbert". The clock is listed in Tran Duy Ly’s "Ansonia Clocks & Watches, 1998, on page 235. The Page list the clock with an illustration as a "Regulator No. 15", dial 12 inches, eight-day, weight time with a list price of $165.00. This Circa 1890 clock stands 100 1/2" H. X 29 1/2" W. X 11 1/4" Deep. Provenance; the clock is from the Joe and Virginia Hardaway estate home "Forest Home" constructed in 1845. The clock has sat in the front foyer for generations. Condition – This clock in in fine condition and is running when removed from the estate. The case is in good condition with only minor wear. Metal side access doors to works have broken pin hinges. The hinges have been held in place with heavy duty duct tape.
